CIJA exhibit focuses on Canadian Jews

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) is presenting its photo exhibition, Jews – A Canadian Story in Pictures in the rotunda of Toronto City Hall. CIJA is the advocacy agent of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and all other Canadian Jewish Federations.

The exhibit tells the story of Jewish life in Canada throughout our nation’s history. From the very first Jewish settlement in 1832 to the establishment of communities of all sizes and in multiple locations, the exhibit chronicles the activities and contributions that went beyond the Jewish community to influence Canada’s evolution as a country.

Over a year in the making, this exhibit includes photos showing slices of Jewish life in Toronto and the rest of Canada throughout Canada’s history.

The exhibit is on display in Toronto City Hall this week only from March 17 through March 22.

The exhibit will be on display at the North York Civic Centre from March 23 through March 29.
